Piero Dorazio (Rome, June 29, 1927 – Perugia, May 17, 2005) was an Italian painter who, since 1945, has contributed with his painting to the affirmation of abstract art in Italy. His works are exhibited in many of the most important museums in the world. With the “Colore d’Oriente” series, in 1989, he developed exclusively for Artep Italia five graphic projects inspired by warm oriental shades.
Alessandro Mendini (Milan, 1931 – 2019) was an architect, designer and journalist. With Branzi and Sottsass he was the main theorist and promoter of the Italian design renewal in the 1980s. He directed the magazines Casabella, Modo and Domus. He is globally known for its irreverent environments and architecture.
RGB is a project on the exploration of the “depth of the surface”, born from the hypothesis of an interior decoration system that can change and interact with different chromatic stimuli. RGB consists in the superimposition of 3 different images which offer unexpected and alienating results. Colors mix, lines and shapes intertwine and give life to dreamlike visions.
Toshiyuki Kita was born in Osaka in 1942. In 1964 he graduated in industrial design from Naniwa College and achieved international fame in 1969, when his creations began to arouse interest around the world. Kita creates numerous products including furniture, LCD TVs, food processors and other domestic appliances.
Jaques Toussaint born in Paris in 1947. He began his activity in Italy in 1971 after his studies at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts. He was a consultant for the furniture companies Bernini and Matteo Grassi. For these companies he created product lines, coordinated designers, designed and curated the corporate image.
